A MNH stamp, but when hold the gum up to a light and look at it at an angle, it appears slightly mottled (humidity or microscopically uneven application?) Definitely MNH, but since I know how selective Italian collectors are, I'm calling it very lightly hinged and pricing it accordingly; Sassone for MH is EUR900; EUR2250 for MNH.

A group of original photographs of the SMS Deutschland; most either of its Stapellauf / launch in 1931 or of its bombing in the Spanish Civil War. The ship was attacked off Ibiza by Spanish Republican forces in retaliation for the German carpet bombing of Guernica for Franco. Included here are original crew pictures, cleaning/examining the inside of the ship, as well as it's re-dedication and the memorial services, including two Hitler candids. Also there are pictures of Reichspraesident Hidenbug at the launch. Some post-war news clippings (in German) are included. A superior group.
